Four Feet, Two Sandals Two books written by Karen Lynn Williams and Khadra Mohammed were featured in a Classroom Bookshelf list of books about children as refugees. My Name Is Sangoel (illustrated by Catherine Stock) and Four Feet, Two Sandals (illustrated by Doug Chayka) were both identified as good resources for discussing the current refugee crisis with children.
- Booksource Banter featured Red by Jan De Kinder in an article about books that stand up to bullying. The “sparse text perfectly pairs with the graphic illustrations,” creating a book that “illustrates how standing together can make a big difference.”
- Fur, Fins, and Feathers by Cassandre Maxwell was reviewed by Booklist (paywall).
