The Dog That Nino Didn’t Have was included on the 2015 Booklist Editors’ Choice list, which praises the book’s “sumptuous, stunning paintings” and exploration of the potential of imagination.- The Amazing Age of John Roy Lynch was included on two outstanding year-end lists. Betsy Bird selected it for her “100 Magnificent Children’s Books” list for 2015, and the book also appeared on the Reading Is Fundamental 2015 Books of the Year list, which described it as an “important and compelling biography.”
- The Amazing Age was also included on this list, which looks forward to next week’s ALA Midwinter conference, on the What Is ML Reading? blog.

Samira and the Skeletons Samira and the Skeletons, one of our forthcoming spring 2016 titles, was reviewed in Publishers Weekly. The review recommends this comical look at learning for “scientifically curious [kids] (and those with a mischievous streak).”
- Fur, Fins, and Feathers was reviewed by The Missourian, which calls the book “a read with lots of heart that will have kids roaring with pleasure.”
- In December, one of the Kid Advisory Board members at Book People in Moscow, ID, reviewed Animal Beauty. Third grader Audrey, whose review was posted on the bookstore’s Facebook page, had this to say about the book:
“I like this book a lot. I think that everyone should get this book and that it should be for all ages. Keep up the good work, author! I also think that it was funny to see how each animal looked after the makeover or whatever they did. I also like to see how each animal reacts to each other after the makeover or whatever they did. And I also like how in the pictures you can see what page each animal is reading and the tiny word they are reading. And I also think it is fun to see what the animals bought or the store they when to, to get whatever their beauty problem was.”
