Materials:
- Clear glass or plastic container
- 2 cups potting soil
- ½ cup peat moss
- 1/8 cup perlite
- ¼ vermiculite
- Large rock
- Smaller rocks
- Pebbles
- ½ cup sand
- Activated charcoal
- Styrofoam cup
- Paint
- 2 or 3 small terrarium plants
Step 1: Paint Styrofoam cup brown both inside and outside.
Step 2: Cover the bottom of the glass or plastic container in a single layer of rocks.
Step 3: Add a handful of pebbles to fill in some of the cracks.
Step 4: Add a thin layer of sand.
Step 5: Cover the sand with a very fine layer of activated charcoal.
Step 6: Add another thin layer of sand to cover the charcoal.
Step 7: Mix together ½ cup peat moss, 2 cups potting soil, 1/8 cup perlite, ¼ cup vermiculite. Pour the mixture into the container, filling it to about ½ inch from the top edge.
Step 8: Dig a hole deep enough to cover the bottom half of the Styrofoam cup. Place the cup into the hole and press dirt around it. Then dig small holes and plant 2 to 3 small terrarium plants in the terrarium (How many plants you should use will depend on your personal preference and the size of your container. Alternatively, you can plant wheat grass seeds and watch them grow.)
Step 9: Place the large rock in front of the tomb opening and water the plants.
