Welcome back to EBYR All Over, a Friday roundup of all the EBYR-related news, reviews, interviews, and other interesting online content we can gather in a given week.
News from EBYR & Elsewhere
-
At Night At Night, one of our forthcoming Fall 2016 titles, earned a starred review from Kirkus! “Dreams are when the world turns upside down and inside out,” writes the reviewer, “and Bansch does a superb job illustrating its kooky-spooky state. . . . With the feel of a fine and handsome tintype, this Austrian import makes night newly beguiling.”
- At Night was also reviewed by Publishers Weekly, which noted the book’s creative format — requiring readers to flip the book in the middle — and highlighted its “quiet, calming language and surreal (but never frightening) imagery.”
- One Big Family was featured in an International Literacy Association review of books about family. The book “focuses on the simple ways families come together to enjoy each other’s company” and makes for an appealing read-aloud.

- Just for Today won an honorable mention in the 2016 Catholic Press Association Book Awards in the Children’s Books & Books for Teens category.
- Fur, Fins, and Feathers by Cassandre Maxwell was chosen as a 2016 Carolyn W. Field Honor Book. The Carolyn W. Field Award recognizes the best books for young people by a Pennsylvania author or illustrator.
