Ever find yourself running late? Perhaps like the husband of our dear Mrs. White Rabbit?
Make your own pocket watch like Mr. White Rabbit’s and practice telling time.
Materials:
- Scissors
- Glue
- Watch Parts Template
- Markers (something to color with)
- Tape
- Hole Punch
- One round metal paper fastener/brad
Step 1: Print out and color template.
Step 2: Cut out the clock back and clock face.
Step 3: Place tape over both sides of the clock hands and then cut them out. This will make them more durable so that they do not break when you move them.
Step 4: Glue the clock face over the circle on the front of the pocket watch.
Step 5: Take a hole punch and make holes through the circular bottoms of the clock hands.
Step 6: Thread the round metal paper fastener though the holes you just made in the clock hands and press the end though the center dot on the clock face. Flip clock over and spread ends of metal fastener to secure it in place.
Adjust the hands and practice reading a clock!
