  • The Watcher, written by Laura Ingalls Wilder Award winner Nikki Grimes and illustrated by Bryan Collier, was named 2018 Picture Book of the Year by World Magazine.
  • Kirkus reviewed Herodotus the Hedgehog (forthcoming) and Get on Your Bike this week. Their reviews described Get on Your Bike as a “charming depiction” of handling conflict constructively and Herodotus the Hedgehog as a “delicately relayed” tale about “paying attention now.” We featured Joukje Akveld (Get on Your Bike) in an author profile on Eerdlings earlier this week.
  • Noting the book’s authentic grappling with personal issues such as self-identity, Publishers Weekly reviewed The Rabbit and the Shadow. Publishers Weekly also reviewed the forthcoming title The Hidden City saying, “Readers will be left realizing that nature’s miniature dramas are closer than they think.”
  • Spirituality & Practice published it’s 50 Best Spiritual Books of 2017 this week and provided reviews for each book on their list. The list included Isabelle Simler’s visually stunning The Blue Hour (review) and the heart-tugging tale of Boris in The Call of the Swamp (review)
